Come on out for Friday evening acoustic happy hour!
Good to be back at PJ's for happy hour. There's always a good crowd there with lots of energy.
Tried a few new ones at this gig - "Barton Hollow" by The Civil Wars during Kaylyn's set, "Sometime Around Midnight" by The Airborne Toxic Event.
Playing cocktail hour at the wedding of two friends. Gonna be a lot of fun.

Another fun night at PJ's. Though I took some unintentional liberties with a few lyrics, it was a good gig. I've played some of these songs so many times that when I'm performing I sometimes get the idea in my head that I don't need to actually LOOK at the lyric sheet that's right in front of me...epic fail in many cases...

Acoustic music to accompany the three happiest hours of the day.
Lot's of fun playing to a crowded PJ's on a Friday evening. Tried a couple of new-ish songs (U2's "Bad", Matt Nathanson's "Answering Machine") but mostly stuck to ones I've played before. Folks said the sound was good, so I've got that going for me...which is nice. For whatever reason, I never felt like taking a break, so I ended up playing for three hours straight. Thanks to everyone who came out to listen. It was nice to see so many familiar faces in the crowd.
My good friends Dave and Laura Martin kindly offered to host a gig at their house in North Wales, PA next Saturday, 7/25. They're providing the venue and the refreshments, and I'll provide the music. When I play some Bruce, it'll feel just like one of those good ol' New Jersey back-yard BBQ's from days gone by.
The party will be outside on Dave and Laura's deck. They have a pool, so if you want to bring a suit and take an evening dip, knock yourself out.
People can start showing up at 7 PM, and I'll start playing at 8. Things will likely wind down by 11PM at the latest.
Let me know if you're planning to come because Dave and Laura need a rough head count so they can make sure not to run out of the aforementioned refreshments. If you want to bring someone with you that didn't get an invite, just check with me first to make sure there's room. I don't want to abuse Dave & Laura's generous offer of hosting a show.

Hope you can make it next Saturday!

Hard To Imagine
Nebraska
Cherub Rock

In spite of allergy season kicking in big-time this week, my voice behaved itself, so I was able to do a much better run of Last Goodbye than the one I tried last gig.
Sadly, the bar was just about empty at midnight, so they ended up closing early. Where have all the fans of acoustic rock cover music gone???
Thanks to those who hung out the whole time!

Well, it was a short one tonight. There was hardly a soul in the bar tonight after about 10:30, but thanks so much to the folks that came out and stayed 'til the bar closed at 11:30 - Sara, Bayard, Ali, Mike etc... You guys were fantastic.

Acoustic sets with Kaylyn adding her vocal talents to the show.
Celebrate First Friday in Ambler with 3 sets of acoustic music!
Surprise, last-minute gig. Got called in when someone cancelled. Come on out to see the substitute performer!
3 sets of acoustic originals and covers with my friend Kaylyn sharing the vocal duties.
3 sets of acoustic songs, both originals and covers. My good friend Matt will join me for some of the night on guitar.
I'm playing three acoustic sets from 10 PM until closing. My friend Matt will be joining me on guitar.
Acoustic gig on the small stage at Grape Street. For directions, etc. check www.grapestreet.com.
Jason, performing with the group Standing On The Edge (http://radiohead.ericrudofker.com), will do an acoustic set of Radiohead covers to benefit the ONE campaign to eliminate poverty (http://one.org). He will be joined by Eric Rudofker and Akshai Raj. This is a special, one-off gig that is not to be missed. MilkBoy Coffee is an all-ages venue.

Good times - great crowd and a really fun show...until during 'High And Dry' the pipes in the room upstairs burst and water starting gushing out the window and into the venue! We had to evacuate to the street carrying all the gear outside before it got soaked. MilkBoy Coffee was completely inundated with agua - a complete disaster. It was a memorable end to the show, but in a horrible way. Hope the place is able to open back up again soon. Thanks to everyone who came out - it was awesome and we raised some good $$$ for the ONE campaign. Pics will be up in the Gallery soon. See you next weekend at Grape Street!
2 East Lancaster Ave, Ardmore, Pennsylvania 19003
Cost : $6 adv/$8 door
Jason will do an acoustic set at the fabulous MilkBoy Coffee (www.milkboycoffee.com) in Ardmore. He'll be joined by Eric Rudofker (www.ericrudofker.com) and Women In Docs (www.womenindocs.com, from Australia!). $6 in advance/$8 at the door, and the venue is all-ages. Music starts at about 7:45 and Jason is scheduled to start around 10 PM. Ought to be a great night of music.
Small crowd but a good show in a great venue. Eric Rudofker and his band were awesome as always. Women In Docs were really good - Roz and Chanel sang some beautiful harmonies while Savannah tore it up on the fiddle. They're definitely worth checking out (http://womenindocs.com), and they were super nice people.
My set was a blast, and Eric joined me for a preview of our 8/16 Radiohead Tribute charity gig by playing 'Paranoid Android'. That one was a trip to play on acoustic guitar, I must say...
Aaron, the cellist from Eric's band, played a cello solo in my set on 'Long Enough'. That was really cool.
Here's the set:
Drowned
Coming Home
Paranoid Android (Radiohead cover)
Long Enough
Sarahphim
Change Of Mind
Falling Down
Reclamation Song
Falling Slowly (Glen Hansard cover)
She Loves Adonis
A few photos should be up on the 'Photos' page shortly.
